Four Steps to Purchasing a Puppy
Puppies come with limited AKC registration. The order of selecting a puppy is based on the order of deposits received. Any puppies older than 6 weeks must be paid for in full. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO KEEP ANY PUPPY TO ADD TO OUR BREEDING PROGRAM.
BREEDING SHOW QUALITY DOGS
In the AKC breed standard for Labrador Retrievers the colors are: black is black, chocolate are simply light to dark chocolate; No silver! In the case of yellow, however the standard states: “Yellows may range in color from fox-red to light cream, with variations in shading on the ears, back, and underparts of the dog.”
Fox red is not a separate color of the Labrador but a shade of yellow. In the early years of the breed development, fox red or dark yellow was the original yellow shade of the Labrador Retriever. Fox red is the darkest shade of yellow labradors.

The only way pups receive immunity to diseases and bacteria is through mother’s milk. Pups can easily contract diseases and infections prior to vaccinations. Therefore, for the safety and health of our pups, we do not let anyone come to see pups until the pups have had their DAPPv vaccination at 6 weeks. NO EXCEPTIONS. Also, for the health and safety of our pets and yours, we DO NOT allow visitors to bring their pets to Tovah Labradors for the possibility of diseases, infections, viruses and parasites.
Placing a puppy on hold
Puppies will not be held without a $500 deposit.
Selecting a puppy
After the pups receive their first 5 way vaccination at 6 weeks old the buyer(s) are contacted to set up a day and time to come and “pick out” their pup. If the buyer is unable to make a pick in person, we can certainly send photos and allow the buyer make their choice from photos. If the buyer cannot make their choice within the specified amount of time the seller allows, the buyer will then forfeit that position of pick to the next buyer.
Tovah Labradors reserves the right on EVERY litter to have 1st pick on ALL pups.
Transporting a puppy via airline
If you are having a puppy shipped, the FAA requires that all pups be at least 8 weeks old to fly. Pups can be shipped for $500. This includes the flight, crate, health certificate and travel to and from the airport and Vet.
Limited vs Full Registration
Limited Registration means that the dog is registered but no litters produced by that dog are eligible for registration, the dog don’t have Breeding Rights. Full Registration means that a dog is registered and that litters produced may be eligible for registration. Tovah Labradors sell all pups with Limited Registration.
